When purchasing a home call to have a Chinese Drywall Inspection done on the property. These inspections I charge a $190.00 up to 2000 sq.ft. I look for drywall backing and branding stating who has made the drywall. I also look for A/C coils and check for corrosion. I then look remove (1) plate cover in every room and check the copper wire for corrosion. I remove the front cover on the electrical panel to see if copper is corrodide. The last step is acessing the attic and looking for branding on the back of the drywall. These steps are a way of telling if the home is tainted or not. This is a non-insurable test

This test is a insurable test that carries a 99.3% successful rate in finding tainted drywall. The sample sizes of drywall are only a quarter inch, compared to other labs that may require a 5" x 5" sample of drywall. This works well, so the homes intigrity is not destroyed. Allowing samples to be removed from the back of receptacle outlets. Samples are sent to a independent lab and results can be returned as soon as 7-10 days.
